ABOUT:

The Belmont Plateau in West Fairmount Park provides one of the best views of the Philadelphia skyline. The Plateau, as it is affectionately known, is also home to nearby cross-country trails and has hosted countless youth, high school, college and National Championship meets since the 1960s. Belmont Plateau is home to one of the best views of the city skyline. The Belmont Plateau Trails Alliance maintains 12 miles of trails in the surrounding woods suitable for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.

EVENTS:

  • Thur 6/14: Join Roots2Rise from 6-7 PM for free yoga in the park! Donations are encouraged and those who donate will receive a free drink ticket to use at Parks on Tap that day.

  • Thur 6/14: A special edition of BPTA Weekly Thursday Night Mountain Bike rides will be held at 6:30 PM. Afterward, Happy Hour will be held from 7-9 PM with the Belmont Plateau Trails Alliance (BPTA). 50% of the proceeds will go to support Belmont Plateau.

  • Sat 6/16: Discover and explore six historic houses, their architecture, and history, on a fun and engaging 3.5-hour scavenger hunt in Fairmount Park from 9AM- 1PM. Participants will receive one free drink at Parks on Tap!

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

Accessible via SEPTA bus route 38 at Belmont Ave. and S Georges Hill Drive. 

PARKING:

Parking available in a parking lot at Army Road off of Belmont Mansion Drive. The area also has some street parking available.
